Is
your microphone
muted in Windows?
Follow
these steps to
troubleshoot the
problem in a windows
environment.
STEP
1:
If
you are using
Windows click on
your Start menu then
go to Control Panel.
Once you are in the
control panel,
double click the
'Sounds and Audio
Devices' icon.

STEP
2:
From
there click on the
Audio tab at the
top, then click on
Volume in the Sound
Recording section.

STEP
3:
In
the next window make
sure that Microphone
is selected and that
the microphone
volume is turned up.

Is
your microphone
setup correctly?
If you have a usb
microphone make sure
it is plugged in
correctly and that
your computer
detects your
microphone. If you
have a regular
microphone make sure
its plugged in
correctly, most
microphone inputs
are next to where
you would plug in
your speakers, you
can usually tell it
is the microphone
input because it
will be colored
pink or it
will have a picture
of a microphone next
to it.
Are you accepting
the request to use
your microphone in
flash?
The follow picture
shows an example of
what this accept
screen looks like,
when you see this
screen make sure you
are clicking on the
'Allow' button.
